Bob was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from North High School in 2001. Bob went to Central College in Pella, Iowa, where he graduated cum laude with a degree in Political Science and Economics in 2005.

Bob graduated from Drake Law School in Des Moines in 2009. During his time at Drake, Bob was a student attorney in the Neal & Bea Smith Legal Clinic, a member of the ABA Moot Court team, the Moot Court Board and the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law. Bob also clerked at a Des Moines civil litigation firm and interned in the Sioux City Adult Public Defender’s Office during the summer of 2007.

Following graduation from law school, Bob practiced with a firm in the Des Moines area before moving back to Sioux City in June 2010 to join the Rawlings Nieland firm. Bob is licensed to practice in Iowa and is a member of the American and Iowa State Bar Associations.

Bob currently resides in Sioux City. During his free time, he enjoys reading, bicycling, working out and watching football.
